Radiochemistry package (module, 25 ECTS) under the MSc in Chemistry and Molecular Sciences  (120 ECTS)

(courses 4 and 5 are alternative)

Lecture course 2: Radiochemistry (including radiation safety) /5 ECTS

Lecture course 3:Detection and measurement of radiation /5 ECTS

Lecture course 4: Chemistry and analysis of radionuclides /5 ECTS

Lecture course 5: Radiopharmaceutical chemistry /5 ECTS

Laboratory exercises: Basic radiochemistry exercises / 5 ECTS

Laboratory exercises: Advanced radiochemistry exercises / 5 ECTS

Exam: Exam for radiation safety officer /0 ECTS

In addition to this package students specialiazing in radiochemistry can do 30-45 cu master’s thesis work and take

following optional courses:

Lecture course 6: Environmental radioactivity /5 ECTS

Lecture course 7: Chemistry of the nuclear fuel cycle /5 ECTS

Lecture course 8: Radiation chemistry /5 ECTS

Lecture course 9: Radionuclide production and tracer techniques /5 ECTS

PhD programme

Doctoral programme in Chemistry and Molecular Sciences

A doctoral degree consists of a doctoral dissertation and 40 credits of obligatory studies.

Compulsory studies are divided into discipline-specific studies (30 ECTS) and general competence studies (10 ECTS).
